In the messy debate over whether or not Apple should or shouldn’t help the FBI unlock the iPhone of one of the San Bernardino shooter’s comes word – law enforcement had their chance and blew it. It adds another layer to the complex debate about what should or shouldn’t be done to access the phone using technology that puts everyones privacy at risk – even more than it is now. Apple says someone reset the shooters iCloud password – and local San Bernardino officials – who issued the iPhone to the shooter in the first place – claim they did so at the FBI’s request.
