RAGE BASSIST WON’T TAKE MULLIGAN ON LIMP BIZKIT

Back when the century was turning Rage Against the Machine was a anti-establishment, money printing juggernaut. Massive. Rather ironic. However, even now, I really couldn’t name a contemporary. And it’s a dirty shame they aren’t here like in the old days. Now, especially at a time when we could use a voice like theirs in todays music and popular culture.

Much like the Beastie Boys, Rage was actually informed, outspoken and involved in the issues they built music around. And stuck to it. There was never any rebranding. So it’s pretty funny when your Bassist, Tim Commerford, apologizes for helping unleash Limp Bizkit. And rightfully so. It’s a great read in Rolling Stone. It also helps put into context one of the only music award show moments worth remembering.

… although, Im sure most people here thought Free Tibet (in 1996) was something you could swallow.
